Gossamer, the big, hairy orange monster from the Looney
Tunes, is my favorite cartoon character. I also thought it would make
a good name for my website (and unofficial web design business) even though
most of the site has nothing to do with cartoons. Gossamer the monster
was created by Chuck Jones in 1946, and appeared in two classic Looney
Tunes shorts with Bugs Bunny. However, it was not until 1980, in Duck
Dodgers and the Return of the 24 1/2 Century(with Daffy, Porky, and
Marvin the Martian), that the name Gossamer was given to the monster.
